Our Student Council is made up of four class officers per grade, as well as four executive officers. The class officers are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, representing grades 9 - 12. In addition to the Executive President, Secretary and Treasurer are senior students while the Executive Vice President is a junior.
The Student Council is in charge of planning spirit events, dances and service projects for the student body. Weekly meetings are held on Mondays. All officers are responsible for mandatory attendance at all large events and are also responsible for planning fun activities for the students.
The purpose of this organization is to plan activities for the students that attend Ladywood High School. This club also serves as a role model and representative of the school.
To be on Student Council, a Ladywood student must have a 3.3 Grade Point Average or above, teacher and administration recommendations, parent/guardian's signature, and signatures from fellow students condoning their election to office.
Ladywood High School's Student Council organizes and plans all of the dances, Homecoming, Catholic Schools Week, and underclassmen awards. It also helps plan service projects, Prom, and liturgies.
Student Council has been in existence since 1950. Before 1989, Student Council meetings were held in front of the entire school. The purpose was to inform the student body of all upcoming events. Today, student council meetings are held in the head moderator's classroom.
Student Council meets every Monday from 2:15 to 3:00 PM.
